Not decrease than 10 Vietnamese fishermen had been injured after their boat became attacked by a foreign vessel whereas fishing near Paracel islands claimed by both China and Vietnam, verbalize media reviews stated unhurried on Monday.

The assault took space on Sunday, reported Thanh Nien newspaper, citing authorities in the central province of Quang Ngai. The document did not provide a description of the foreign vessel or how the fishing vessel became attacked.

Three of the fishermen had their legs and fingers broken from the assault, the document stated, citing Nguyen Thanh Bien, the captain of the fishing boat QNg 957.39 TS.

The fishing boat with the ten fishermen aboard departed a port in the province on September 13, the document stated.

Vietnamese and Chinese foreign ministries did in a roundabout plot acknowledge to Reuters’ requests for comment. Vietnamese authorities are investigating the incident, the document added.

The China-managed Paracel, identified as Hoang Sa in Vietnam, is in the South China Sea, a busy world maritime waterway practically all of which is asserted by China.
