UN chief backs Lebanon ceasefire plan

UN chief Antonio Guterres counseled Friday a joint US-French idea for a 21-day ceasefire in Lebanon as he warned that shockwaves from Israel’s Gaza battle threatened to pull the build aside into an “abyss.”
