Trade activities at Sonamasjid Land Port to remain suspended for 6 days due to Durga Puja

In observance of the Sharadiya Durga Puja, all import-export actions at the Sonamasjid Land Port will remain suspended for six consecutive days, from 9 October to 14 October.

Odd substitute operations are scheduled to resume on the morning of October 15, confirmed Mamun Or Rashid, Classic Secretary of the Sonamasjid Land Port Import-Export Neighborhood on Tuesday (8 October).

During this era, while substitute operations may maybe be halted, passengers preserving legit passports will aloof be ready to scamper between Bangladesh and India by the port’s immigration checkpoint.

The decision to suspend substitute has been coordinated with authorities at India’s Mahadipur Land Port, who notified their Bangladeshi counterparts prematurely by strategy of first rate correspondence.

Alternatively, port officers have clarified that the loading and unloading of items already present at some level of the port premises will proceed uninterrupted at some level of the suspension duration.
