Student leaders demand student council elections in all institutions by February

Pupil leaders receive equipped that pupil council elections ought to be held in all institutions by the end of January or the main week of February.

The announcement came after the 2nd discussion assembly attended by varied pupil organisations on the Anti-Discrimination Pupil Motion’s location of labor at Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue in Dhaka this evening (4 December).

At a press briefing, Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Pupil Motion, said, “Now we receive made up our minds to retain pupil council elections in all institutions by the final week of January or first week of February. All pupil organisations receive agreed to this.”

He also said this day’s discussions covered pupil and trainer politics, seating points, and the adversarial impacts of previous and indolent political practices.

Sibgatullah, central literature secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir, said pupil organisations will publish outlines and ideas geared toward reforming immoral pupil politics by 20 December.

“These outlines will then be subtle thru delivery discussions to shape the formulation forward for pupil politics,” he said.

Abdul Hannan Masud, chief organiser of the Anti-Discrimination Pupil Motion, said representatives from about 30 organisations attended this day’s assembly.

However, Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, Islami Chhatra Andolan, Swadhin Bangladesh Chhatra Sangsad, Pupil Federation, and other leftist organisations did no longer take part in the assembly.
