Stocks decline amid selling pressure

Shares ended within the purple this day (5 December), the final trading day of the week, amid promoting stress.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Trade (DSE), declined by 41 aspects to settle at 5,196 aspects.

Turnover, a key indicator of market bid, fell by 29% to Tk335.18 crore as investor participation remained subdued.

The DSE Shariah Index dropped by 8 aspects, while the DS30, the blue-chip index, fell by 15.96 aspects, settling at 1,163 and 1,911 aspects, respectively.

Different the stocks traded this day witnessed a tag decline. Of the traded stocks, 42 superior, 308 declined, and 38 remained unchanged.

Miracle Industries topped the gainers’ chart, with its portion tag rising by 9.97% to Tk22.6 every, followed by Sort Craft with an 8.72% create bigger to Tk53.6 every, and Jute Spinners with a 7.18% upward thrust to Tk256.6 every, according to DSE records.

Newline Dresses saw basically the most difficult decline, with its portion tag falling by 8.88% to Tk8.2 every, followed by High Finance First Mutual Fund, down 6.90% to Tk44.5 every, and Nitol Insurance Firm, down 6.13% to Tk26 every.
