Sound of explosions in Myanmar rock Bangladeshi territory as bullet lands on Teknaf household

The sound of explosions originating from a battle between Myanmar’s Junta forces and the Arakan Navy at Maung Daw metropolis in Rakhine continues to reverberate throughout the border, with folks residing in Teknaf having to listen to sounds of intense firing of mortal shells, grenades and bullets.

Locals said the sound kept coming from 11pm the outdated day (22 November) to this noon (23 November).

Within the meantime, a bullet landed on the premises of a home owned by Abdur Rahim, a resident of the Domdomia location below Teknaf’s Nhila union, at 10:30am this morning.

Nevertheless, no one became injured in the incident, said Mohammad Ali, a member of the Nhila union parishad.

Ali Ahmad, a resident of Teknaf’s Shah Porir Dwip, said, “The sound of explosions is coming in from the opposite side of the border with long-established intervals. Regulation enforcers bask in warned us no longer to head to the border areas.”

Mohammad Sharif, a member of Ward No-5 of Teknaf’s Sabrang union, said, “Residents of the placement turned afraid when the sound of explosions started on Friday night.”

Arif Ullah Nizami, assistant commissioner (land) who’s currently to blame as Teknaf’s upazila nirbahi officer, said, “Households in Teknaf are vibrating due to the sound of explosions. Though it’s an interior area of Myanmar, the Border Guard Bangladesh [BGB] and Float Guard bask in increased their surveillance so that no contemporary Rohingya can enter Bangladesh.”
