Section 144 imposed in Bagerhat's Kachua over BNP rally and ex-MP's reception

The administration in Kachua upazila of Bagerhat has imposed Section 144 to avert seemingly clashes, as two separate events were scheduled to be held at interior sight venues within the Goalmath position this day (17 December).

The restriction, effective from 10 am to 6 pm on Tuesday, modified into enforced following an expose issued on Monday night by Kachua Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) KM Abu Noushad.

The expose prohibits all public gatherings, meetings and the carrying of firearms interior one-kilometer radius of the venues, along with the Goalmath Rashik Lal Secondary College and the Majeda Begum Agricultural Abilities School grounds.

Nonetheless, emergency products and services and law enforcement personnel are exempt from the restriction.

In line with native sources, a reception for MAH Selim, used MP of Bagerhat-2 constituency and ex-president of the district BNP, modified into deliberate at the Majeda Begum Agricultural Abilities School grounds on Tuesday afternoon.

Simultaneously, Kachua upazila BNP had announced a public rally at the interior sight Rashik Lal Secondary College grounds.

With tensions reportedly escalating between supporters of both events, the administration took the preventive step to construct positive public security and expose.

“Each and each venues would be found in stop proximity and there modified into a risk of undesirable incidents. Brooding about the cases, Section 144 has been imposed as a precautionary measure,” acknowledged UNO KM Abu Nowshad.
