A Rohingya man was killed and five others were injured in a gunfight between two groups of terrorists over establishing supremacy at Ukhiya Rohingya Camp no 3 in Cox’s Bazar this (2 October) afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Andur Rahman, son of Mohammad Abdullah, a resident of Ukhiya Camp no 14.
Additional DIG Md Amir Zafar, commanding officer of Armed Police Battalion-8, confirmed the death to The Business Standard this evening.
Quoting locals, Amir Zafar said a clash erupted between Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) terrorists in Ukhiya’s Rohingya camps 14 and 15 this afternoon.

The terrorists fled as soon as an APBn team reached the spot, he said, adding that locals rescued the injured and admitted them to MSF hospitals in Jamtoli and Kutupalong where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries.
