Peacekeeping force should be sent to India: home adviser

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant Common (rtd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury recently (5 December) suggested that peacekeeping forces be sent to India as a change of Bangladesh.

He modified into talking to journalists after the inauguration of World Volunteer Day 2024 at the Fireplace Carrier and Civil Defence Multipurpose Training Ground in Purbachal, Narayanganj.

The remarks came after journalists drew his consideration to a current assertion by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that United Nations peacekeeping forces be sent to Bangladesh.

Mamata’s assertion came amid tension between Dhaka and Original Delhi on the disaster of minority subject in Bangladesh.

Responding to questions relating to this, the house adviser acknowledged, “Peacekeeping forces must aloof be sent to India, no longer to Bangladesh.”

He also highlighted that the present demand national cohesion in Bangladesh has obtained a definite response, which he believes will relieve counter conspiracies and take care of show in the country.

The adviser brushed off concerns about tensions at the border, saying, “There’s rarely any tension alongside the border. Nonetheless, the propaganda India is spreading about Bangladesh will be collectively addressed by everyone.”
