The UN refugee chief stated Saturday that larger than 50,000 folks had fled to Syria amid escalating Israeli air strikes on Lebanon.

“More than 50,000 Lebanese and Syrians living in Lebanon grasp now crossed into Syria fleeing Israeli air strikes,” Filippo Grandi stated on X.

He added that “properly over 200,000 folks are displaced inside Lebanon”.

A UNHCR spokesman stated the total sequence of displaced in Lebanon had reached 211,319, together with 118,000 right since Israel dramatically ramped up its air strikes on Monday.
