New executive committee formed for BADC engineers’ association

A six-member executive committee for the BADC Engineers’ Association was formed during an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on 14 November, at the BADC Irrigation Building auditorium in Dhaka. 

The committee aims to ensure smooth operations and effective representation for its members.

Engineer Khan Faisal Ahmed, Additional Chief Engineer of the West Zone at Sech Bhaban, Dhaka, has been elected as the president, while Engineer Mohammad Shahed, Executive Engineer of the Rangamati (Small Irrigation) Region, will serve as the general secretary, according to a press release.

The vice-president roles were filled by Engineer Chanchal Kumar Mistri, Superintending Engineer of the Barisal (Small Irrigation) Circle, and Engineer Mohammad Sarwar Mowla, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Mishu Division at Krishi Bhaban, Dhaka.

Additionally, Engineer Alal Uddin, Assistant Engineer at the Comilla (Micro Irrigation) Circle Office, was appointed as the organising secretary, along with Engineer Md Aminul Islam Asim Bhuiyan, Assistant Engineer at the Survey and Search Department, Krishi Bhaban, Dhaka, the release said.

The newly formed committee will oversee the association’s activities and foster continued progress for its members.
