In recognition of their ancient achievement, the National Sports activities Council (NSC) has offered a reward of BDT 20 lakh for Bangladesh’s U-21 hockey team.

The team secured its pickle within the 2025 Junior Hockey World Cup by ending fifth within the Junior Asia Cup, held in Oman.

This marks the nation’s first-ever qualification for the global match, and the reward highlights the significance of their achievement.

Bangladesh capped off their marketing campaign with a dominant 6-3 victory over China of their closing match.

Following the ranking, the team returned home on 5 December to a warm reception, with the Hockey Federation celebrating their success.

Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, Chief of Air Workers and President of the Hockey Federation, offered a reward of BDT 5 lakh for the players sooner or later of the reception.
