Nahid Rana's maiden Test fifer gives Tigers 18-run 1st innings lead against Windies

Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana claimed his maiden Test five-wicket haul to help brush apart the West Indies for 146 in their first innings on the third day of the second and final Test at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, on Monday.

The visitors, trailing 1-0 in the sequence, now lead by 18 runs, having posted 164 in their first innings.

After resuming put up-Lunch, Bangladesh wasted no time in eradicating the closing two West Indies batters. Captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz trapped Shamar Joseph lbw, and Rana, playing his fifth Test, pushed apart Kemar Roach to manufacture profession-finest figures of 5-61, surpassing his old better of 4-44 against Pakistan in Rawalpindi earlier this year.

Rana executed with figures of 5-61 from 18 overs, whereas fellow pacer Hasan Mahmud took two wickets.
