Police remember arrested 5 college students, including a former Chhatra League chief, in reference to the lynching of Tofazzal Hossain on suspicion of theft at the Fazlul Haque Corridor of Dhaka College.
“The police are continuing their efforts to apprehend the leisure suspects. We can investigate the incident completely to repeat the truth,” Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (DC) (media and newsletter) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) told the media at a press conference at Minto Avenue this day (19 September).

The arrestees are Md Jalal Mia, 25, former Chhatra League chief of Fazlul Huq hall unit and a pupil of the Physics Department, Suman Mia, 21 of the Soil, Water and Ambiance Department, Mottakin Sakin of the Institute of Diet and Meals Science, Al Hossain Sazzad of Geography, and Ahsan Ullah.
The police official further said the body of the deceased has been handed over to the family after an put up-mortem.
