Mitsubishi launches Outlander Sport SUV, priced at Tk49.5 lakh

Japanese automobile brand Mitsubishi has introduced its new sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, to the Bangladesh market, priced at Tk49.5 lakh.

The launch event took place at the flagship showroom in the capital’s Tejgaon today (25 September), where RANGS Limited, the official distributor of Mitsubishi in Bangladesh, unveiled the 1,499cc Outlander Sport. 

The SUV boasts a premium style, advanced comfort features, and cutting-edge technology tailored to meet the needs of local consumers.

One of the standout aspects of the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is its four special driving modes, designed to adapt to various weather and road conditions in Bangladesh. 

The vehicle is equipped with an 8-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system that includes a touch-screen interface with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Navigation capabilities.

Safety features include six supplemental restraint system airbags, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake pressure distribution, automatic stability control, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert technology.

There is an active yaw control feature for slippery roads. There are also tyre pressure monitoring systems, multiple charging ports with wireless chargers, electronic parking brakes and parking sensors, rearview cameras etc.

The car has stunning T-shaped headlights and rear combination lights. The vehicle measures 4390mm in length, 1810mm in width, and 1635mm in height, giving it a ground clearance of 222mm. 

It is powered by a 4-A-91 DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder (1.5L MIVEC) engine. It has a continuously variable transmission (F-1-CWA).

The eye-catching black-themed interior with honeycomb pattern & leather-wrapped car seats are very premium and comfortable, especially at the back of the car there is enough space for three people to sit comfortably.

Along with 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and electric power steering technology considering the road conditions of Bangladesh, the car’s front MacPherson strut and rear torsion beam suspension will give drivers a comfortable riding experience.

The exterior of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport comes in six exquisite colours with a comfortable interior, solid structure, ample space, and ample ground clearance.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by RANGS Limited CEO Mohammad Hamdur Rahman Simon, RANCON Auto Division 1 Director Shoeb Ahmed, Divisional Head of Marketing Mohammad Fahim Hossain, Divisional Head of Finance Saleh Ahmed, GM & Head of Supply Chain A F M Musfiqur Rahman, AGM and Deputy Head of Private Sales Meherun Nessa Faruk Sonia and others.

Mohammad Hamdur Rahman Simon, CEO of RANGS Limited, a Mitsubishi distributor in the country since 1979, said customers will have a five-year warranty and three free servicing, adding that the company has a nationwide sales and service network.

Having a large number of cars on the roads, Rangs offers all kinds of genuine Mitsubishi spare parts at reasonable prices, he added.

Rangs Limited sold nearly a thousand Mitsubishi cars in the Bangladesh market in 2023.
