Martyred Intellectuals Day: Flood of people at Mirpur, Rayerbazar memorials to pay tribute

Other folks from all walks of life gathered at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorials in Mirpur and Rayerbazar of the capital since this morning (14 December) to commemorate Martyred Intellectuals Day.

College students from various academic institutions within the metropolis and leaders and activists of various political organisations had been coming to the memorial with banners and festoons since crack of break of day.

The first people to pay admire to the martyrs had been President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus.

Shahabuddin positioned the wreath at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at Mirpur at about 06:59am and the manager adviser at 7:15am to pay tributes to the intellectuals.

Later, participants of the martyrs’ families and various freedom warring parties led by Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam paid admire at the Mirpur memorial at 7:22am and the Rayerbazar memorial at 8am.
