'March for Palestine' held at DU

A group of Dhaka University students brought out a procession, titled ‘March for Palestine’, from TSC intersection in the capital today (29 November), marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

Several coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and leaders and activists of other organisations participated in the procession.

Abu Baker Majumder, a coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said, “The spirit of our July movement is similar to the struggle for Palestine. We are against all aggression. We are expressing solidarity with Palestine from Bangladesh.”

Ever year since 1977, the United Nations General Assembly calls for the observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on 29 November to express solidarity with Palestine.
