Lebanon is in immediate need of a ceasefire, caretaker PM says

Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Wednesday the country wanted a ceasefire in hostilities between Israel and armed neighborhood Hezbollah, pronouncing round 1.2 million folks in Lebanon had been displaced by Israeli assaults.

“Stop fighting. We don’t desire extra blood. We don’t desire extra destruction,” Mikati said in a web briefing organized by the American Task Power on Lebanon, a U.S.-based totally mostly non-profit. “There might be an instant need for a ceasefire.”
