Lalmonirhat assistant commissioner suspended over controversial remarks on CA, govt

Tapashee Tabassum Urmi, an assistant commissioner in Lalmonirhat, has been suspended after being made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) following her controversial remarks regarding the chief adviser and the interim government on Facebook. 

At the same time, a decision has been made to file a departmental case against her, said a notification from the Ministry of Public Administration today (7 October). 

Just the day before, Tapashee was designated as an OSD.

According to the ministry notification, a decision has been made to take departmental action against her under the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.

Consequently, she has been temporarily suspended from government service. During her suspension, she will receive an allowance as per the regulations.
