JU appoints new pro vice-chancellors, treasurer

Jahangirnagar College has newsly appointed two expert vice-chancellors and a treasurer.

They are being appointed for the following four years on the tell of the president, reads a notification issued by the Ministry of Training this day (18 September).

The suggestions used to be disclosed thru three separate notifications signed by Shahinur Islam, deputy secretary of Secondary and Greater Training Department of the Ministry of Training.

Professor Sohel Ahmed of Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Professor M Mahfuzur Rahman of Botany Department had been appointed as expert vice-chancellors and Professor Md Abdur Rab of Mathematics Department as treasurer.

It’s mentioned within the notifications that despite the fact that their appointment is for four years, the president or chancellor can execute this appointment at any time. Their wage will be similar as picture wage.

The expert vice-chancellor shall form the powers and tasks assigned by the vice-chancellor. Moreover, they hold got to deal with it up campus.

Following the downfall of the Awami League authorities on 5 August, the vice-chancellor of Jahangirnagar College resigned on 7 August and the expert-vice chancellors resigned on 13 and 19 August.
