Iron Maiden’s legendary drummer Nicko McBrain, 72, has announced his retirement from touring. The iconic musician’s last performance with the band took location on 7 December at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil, right during the conclusion of their The Future Past world tour.
McBrain, who joined Iron Maiden in 1982, shared his resolution in a heartfelt assertion, expressing both gratitude and pleasure for the long term. “After 42 unbelievable years of touring, it is time to step motivate,” he talked about, thanking followers and vowing to stay smitten by diversified tasks with the band.
His retirement follows health challenges, in conjunction with a 2023 stroke. No topic stepping away from the avenue, McBrain assured followers of his persevered connection to Iron Maiden and diverse non-public ventures.
