Imran Tahir accuses Rangpur Riders of unpaid dues from last year’s BPL

Experienced South African spinner Imran Tahir has accused Rangpur Riders of failing to fulfil their monetary obligations from closing twelve months’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Speaking earlier than a World T20 match towards Rangpur Riders on 4 December, Tahir revealed that he has but to win the plump payment agreed upon in his contract.

The experienced leg-spinner, who represented Rangpur Riders within the 2023 BPL season, expressed his frustration, asserting, “I am in my belief motivated to win this match for Guyana because closing twelve months I conducted for Rangpur within the BPL. I still haven’t bought my plump payment from them, which makes me mighty extra fervent to put towards them.”

No matter the off-discipline drama, Rangpur Riders managed to acquire a 15-speed win over Guyana Amazon Warriors within the first match of the tournament. The victory, led by captain Nurul Hasan Sohan, helped Rangpur jump again after shedding their opening two fits of the season.

Opting to bat first at Windfall, Guyana, Rangpur were bowled out for 117 runs of their allotted 20 overs. Their total regarded modest, however a disciplined bowling effort restricted Guyana to true 102 runs in 19.1 overs, sealing the win for Rangpur.
