HC rejects former NBR official Matiur Rahman’s plea to travel abroad

The Excessive Court pushed aside a writ petition at the novel time (25 November) filed by outdated NBR member and VAT Appellate Tribunal president, Matiur Rahman, wanting for permission to commute in a international nation.

The bench of Justice Fahmida Kader and Justice Mubina Asaf rejected the petition, declaring it “no longer pressed.”

Matiur filed the petition earlier to steal the commute ban imposed on him. In his plea, he named the Anti-Corruption Price (ACC) chairman and others as respondents.

The ban was issued by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Resolve Mohammad Asams Joglul Hossain upon a ask of from ACC Deputy Director Anwar Hossain.
