Hasnat Abdullah criticises Modi’s social media post on 1971 war

Convener of Anti-Discrimination Student Circulate Hasnat Abdullah has criticised a social media post by India’s High Minister Narendra Modi on Bangladesh’s Liberation Warfare in 1971.

Taking to his verified Fb page, Hasnat connected a screenshot of Modi’s post, and wrote, “Modi gave a post on his verified facebook page at present time, where he wrote ‘On the present time, on Victory Day, we honour the braveness and sacrifices of the bold squaddies who contributed to India’s historic victory in 1971. Their selfless dedication and unwavering unravel safeguarded our nation and brought glory to us. For the time being is a tribute to their unprecedented valour and their unshakable spirit. Their sacrifices will perpetually inspire generations and remain deeply embedded in our nation’s historic past’.”

Criticising the post, Hasnat said, “It was the Liberation Warfare of Bangladesh, which took space to come by freedom from Pakistan. However Modi has claimed this as India’s battle and their success. Bangladesh’s existence has been absent in their bid.”

Hasnat extra said, “I leer this as a menace to our independence, sovereignty and oneness when India claims Bangladesh’s independence as their have success. It’s far a must for us to fight by contrast menace by India. Now we prefer to raise on this fight.”
