Graft allegations in Dhaka airport’s 3rd terminal project will be probed: CAAB chairman

The allegations of corruption, raised by stakeholders, pertaining to the third terminal project of Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal Global Airport might be investigated, said Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), in the present day (2 December).

The matters might be probed by appropriate authorities such because the Anti-Corruption Rate, he said while talking at a roundtable on opportunities and challenges of the third terminal.

On the programme, Aviation Operators Affiliation Secretary Total Mofizur Rahman alleged corruption in several areas, along side the procurement of apparatus and the charges related to final twelve months’s soft delivery of the third terminal.

Additionally, he raised objections to the uncommon allocation of the third terminal’s flooring handling services to Biman Bangladesh Airways.

Speaking because the executive guest, Civil Aviation and Tourism Adviser AF Hassan Ariff said the third terminal would initiate stout operations in a single twelve months.
