Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam yesterday (10 October) said that the government would take step to improve the quality of life including education and health of Rabidas community by removing all sorts of discriminations.
“The Rabidas community has its own history, traditions and culture. We have to think how to ensure their representation in the state and social structure,” he said while visiting Rabidas Jiu Mandir in Rabidas Para in the city’s Wari area on the occasion of Durga Puja.
“Real freedom and democracy cannot be achieved if we cannot eliminate discrimination from all levels of society,” Nahid said.
He underscored the need for taking necessary steps for social and economic development of Rabidas community.
