The government today reconstituted the Law Commission, Bangladesh, appointing former Appellate Division Justice Zinat Ara as the new chairman of the commission for a three-year tenure.
According to a gazette notification issued by Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs today (2 October), while holding the position, she will receive a salary, allowances, and other benefits equivalent to those of a justice in the Appellate Division.
Meanwhile, the government through separate gazette notifications, appointed former retired judge of the High Court Division, Justice Shamim Hasnain and Professor Dr Naima Haque as the two members of the law commission for the next three years.
During their service, the two members would get salary, allowance, and other benefits equivalent to those of a judge of the High Court Division.
