Severe flooding in Feni has submerged 70,415 properties, destroying furniture and electrical appliances, in step with local officers.
The flood has prompted an estimated loss of Tk533.59 crore, leaving hundreds displaced and struggling to rebuild their lives.
An estimated 7,350 households were compelled from their properties, searching out for refuge with kinfolk or neighbours, while nearly about 1,000 households stay in authorities-flee shelters. Some flood victims reside below plastic tarps in birth areas, officers acknowledged.
The Ministry of Catastrophe Management and Help reported that 56,065 semi-mud wall properties sustained partial injury.
