Faridpur witnesses massive surge in fever, diarrhoea cases among children amid heatwave

The selection of children tormented by fever and diarrhoea has vastly increased in Faridpur, with the recent heatwave exacerbating the state.

Over the previous week, the selection of child sufferers at Faridpur hospitals has surged several instances beyond the same old rate, in particular within the outside division.

Visiting Dr Zahed Memorial Kid’s Hospital currently (24 September), The Commercial Favorite saw folk from the district and nearby upazilas crowding the Open air Division with their sick children.

According to hospital sources, the selection of paediatric sufferers hang increased twofold within the final week.

“Spherical 400 to 500 children are coming to the hospital each day, tormented by health problems attributable to the severe warmth,” Dr Partha Pratim Saha, a doctor at  the hospital, knowledgeable TBS.

According to hospital records, within the previous week, 5,440 children had been treated at Dr Zahed Memorial Kid’s Hospital. Additionally, 80 to 85 children are being admitted each day for additional medication.

Faridpur, under the Dhaka Division, recorded a maximum temperature of 36.5°C on Monday (23 September).
