Ex-MP Bodi shifted to Ctg jail

Feeble member of parliament for Cox’s Bazar-4 constituency Abdur Rahman Bodi, who’s in penitentiary in an tried abolish case, has been shifted to Chattogram Central Prison.

He become dropped at Chattogarm from Cox’s Bazar below heavy police guard remaining evening (6 September), stated Chattogram Central Prison Deputy Jailor Sumaya Khatun.

“Bodi has been transferred to Chattogram Prison for security reasons. There are cases also against him at Chattogram court docket filed by the Anti-Corruption Rate [ACC],” she added.

On 18 August, Teknaf upazila BNP leader Mohammad Abdullah filed a case with Teknaf Police Dilemma against 20 folks, alongside side Bodi, accusing them of attempting to abolish him in Teknaf municipality’s KK Para space.

Bodi become arrested by contributors of Mercurial Bound Battalion (RAB) from GEC intersection space of Chattogram on 21 August in reference to the case.

Later, when he become taken to court docket, Cox’s Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Hamimun Tamjid despatched him to penitentiary.
