The Detective Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested traditional food minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdet from the Bashundhara residential apartment of the capital this evening (3 October).
Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Kin) Talebur Rahman confirmed the arrest.
He, on the assorted hand, could well perhaps no longer clarify throughout which case Sadhan was arrested.
A former Awami League flesh presser, Sadhan served as a longtime member of parliament for the Naogaon-1 constituency, encompassing Porsha, Niamatpur, and Sapahar upazilas. First elected in 2008, he was re-elected from the constituency in each and each following election throughout the Awami League regime in the closing 17 years.
He served because the minister of food throughout 2019–2024.
