DSEX plunges 97 points as 27 firms downgraded to Z category

Indices at the Dhaka Stock Change (DSE) experienced a necessary fall presently time (26 September) as the stock exchanges downgraded 27 corporations to the Z category for non-compliance with securities laws, according to a directive from the regulators.

The DSEX, DSE’s main index, dropped by 97 aspects, closing at 5,639 at the atomize of the sessions.

The Shariah index (DSES) fell by 31 aspects to 1,262, while the blue-chip index (DS30) decreased by 30 aspects, finishing at 2,065.

The full turnover stood at Tk531 crore, 33% down from the old session. Of the shares traded, 72 superior, 299 declined, and 25 remained unchanged.

The Chittagong Stock Change (CSE) additionally faced losses, with the CSCX and All Share Heed Index (CASPI) down by 99 and 208 aspects, respectively.
