Dhaka North declares area around airport a ‘Silent Zone’

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has designated a 1.5km radius round Hazrat Shahjalal Global Airport as a “Nonetheless Zone” to govern noise pollution.

The official announcement became made by DNCC Public Family individuals Officer Mokbul Hossain on the present time morning (29 September).

The designated zone stretches from Scholastica College to Hotel Le Méridien, covering each and each the northern and southern aspects of the airport.

This resolution aligns with Rule 4 of the Noise Pollution Control Guidelines, 2006, and goals to in the reduction of noise ranges in the neighborhood of the airport. The regulation will come into pause starting 1 October.
