Chhatra Dal leader arrested in Barishal over killing BCL activist for refusing to pay extortion

Contributors of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested Alamin Talukder, top accused in killing a Chhatra League activist Rashed, who became crushed to dying for refusing to pay extortion money in Barishal.

Talukder, president of Barthi Union Chhatra Dal, became arrested on Saturday night (7 September) from Shariatpur’s Chikandi Bazar, in retaining with the RAB-8 headquarters.

Russel Shikder, elder brother of the deceased, acknowledged Rashed passe to control his industrial in Dhaka. On 16 August, he returned dwelling with his two-yr-frail son. After Friday prayers, he went to the Barthi market to aquire fruits for his son. There, he became accosted by Chhatra Dal contributors who demanded money, threatening to evict him from the location if he refused.

He went on to mumble that as soon as Rashed declined to pay, he became brutally crushed by a crew of 10-15 folks, including Saimun, Hamim Talukder, and the Barthi Union Chhatra Dal President Al Amin.
