The BUP Career Club has wrapped up its highly anticipated Career Edge 2024, a three-day event dedicated to fostering essential career skills and unlocking the potential of university students from across the nation. With a prize pool of BDT 1,00,000, the event offered participants the chance to showcase their expertise while equipping themselves with vital skills for the future.
The event kicked off with a day of intensive masterclasses tailored to the interests of the attendees. Two specialized segments, Data Segment and Creative Segment, offered practical training in high-demand skills such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Figma, and WordPress. Under the guidance of seasoned industry professionals, participants gained hands-on experience, setting a solid foundation for the challenges ahead.
On Day 2, the spotlight shifted to a combination of a seminar and a hackathon. The seminar featured thought-provoking discussions led by industry leaders, offering participants valuable insights into career development and the future of work. The hackathon provided an avenue for participants to apply their newfound skills in real-world scenarios, solving complex cases in their respective modules.
The event culminated on Day 3 with a grand closing ceremony, where the winners of the hackathon were announced. A total of BDT 1,00,000 in prize money was awarded across the two segments – Data & Creative.
Apart from the lucrative prizes, all participants received certificates, exclusive gifts, and souvenirs as tokens of recognition. The event also ensured an engaging and rewarding experience with complimentary meals and opportunities to network within a growth-focused community.
