BNP leader Zainul Abedin Faruque Farroque in graft case

A Dhaka court these days (26 November) acquitted BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Zainul Abedin Farroque from a case filed by Anti-Corruption Rate (ACC) for no longer submitting wealth statement.

Dhaka Divisional Particular Mumble SM Ziaur Rahman passed the dispute as the prosecution failed to point out the costs framed in opposition to Farroque.

In line with the case documents, the ACC in 1999 issued a think, asking Zainul Abedin Farroque to submit his wealth statement from 9 July to 22 August of that 300 and sixty five days. Nonetheless the old lawmaker failed to submit the statement.

The ACC on 19 January 2000, filed a case in opposition to the BNP chief and submitted a chargesheet on 17 June 2001. The court framed costs in opposition to him on 23 March 2006, initiating the trial formally.
