Begum Rokeya’s ideals inspire women to become self-reliant: Tarique Rahman

Describing Begum Rokeya as the precursor of the ladies renaissance, BNP performing chairman Tarique Rahman this day (9 December) said the lifestyles, works and ideals of Begum Rokeya would inspire immensely the womenfolk to vary into self-reliant.

“Begum Rokeya’s stance became as soon as continuously against injustice and indiscrimination of the womenfolk through her ageless writings. She inspired the ladies to vary into self-reliant and self-revered within the family, society and economy,” he said in a message marking the Begum Rokeya Day, 2024 which coincides her initiating and death anniversary.

The famed female Begum Rokeya believed that the womenfolk need to level-headed be educated to vary into self-reliant, Tarique said, adding that so, she advocated for elevating awareness on social circulation to make the ladies self-reliant overcoming all boundaries.

Begum Rokeya thought to be the education as predominant instrument for setting up self-appreciate of the ladies within the society and her total goal became as soon as for ladies emancipation through education, he said.

“So, Begum Rokeya took the maiden initiative to reveal the backward   Muslim ladies with the gentle of education. She had to face radical acts from the conservative other folks of the society to pursue the message of ladies emancipation. Despite the truth she became as soon as uncompromising and steadfast in her duties and works,” he said.
