Barishal University teachers issue 17-day ultimatum for treasurer’s removal

A neighborhood of lecturers at Barishal College issued a 17-day ultimatum to the authorities, tense the quick cancellation of the appointment of Col (retd) Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal Khan as the college’s treasurer.

In a press conference held these days (15 December), the lecturers expressed deep ache over the appointment, citing the treasurer’s alleged involvement in corruption and his association with the feeble authorities.

In a written assertion, Catastrophe Management division Chairman Dr Hafiz Ashraful Haque pointed to a UGC investigation document that detailed allegations of corruption and irregularities towards the newly appointed treasurer all the procedure thru his tenure at Begum Rokeya College.

He emphasised the unfavorable impact of such an appointment on the college’s tutorial setting.

The lecturers threatened to open a more difficult agitation if the authorities fail to get their requires by 31 December.
