Staff of the Barishal City Corporation (BCC) gain alleged that some college students, posing as coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Motion, are harassing chiefs of the company’s a great deal of departments.
They issued a 72-hour ultimatum to authorities concerned to cease such harassment the day gone by (7 October).
A memorandum on this regard, signed by 338 BCC employees, has been submitted to the Barishal Divisional Commissioner Shawkat Ali, who is for the time being serving as BCC administrator, the city company’s Public Family people Officer Ahsan Uddin confirmed to The Enterprise Long-established.
Copies of the memorandum gain also been sent to Barishal Metropolitan Police commissioner, Barishal deputy commissioner and the commander of the connected Bangladesh Army camp.
The memorandum, seen by TBS, states that the signatories will accelerate into an indefinite work abstention if no steps are taken to handle their demands within the stipulated time.
“On 5 August, a unique Bangladesh emerged by the Anti-Discrimination Student Motion. The officers and employees of the city company, their children and family had been fellow companions [of the students] right by the breeze, which led to the second independence of Bangladesh in replace of blood of hundreds of college students and novel of us,” reads the memorandum.
Alternatively, it alleges that some “mistaken college students”, posing as breeze coordinators, had been harassing city company officers in a great deal of ways.
“These college students, who identified themselves as coordinators, are misbehaving with heads of diversified departments of the Nagar Bhaban and are pressing them to assemble illegal works,” it states.
The memorandum alleges that a student, claiming to be a coordinator, compelled the superintendent of the Hat Bazar division to allow one amongst their family to amass the rent price for Rupatali and Sagardi markets. “When the Superintendent refused, the coed harassed him with baseless allegations.”
BCC employees also alleged that the head of the illegal eviction unit shall be being compelled to personal water reservoirs, ponds with sand. “When knowledgeable that there isn’t any trusty provision in the regulation for filling reservoirs, ponds, ponds, the coordinator requested to assemble it in replace for money.”
The memorandum also claims that some self-claimed coordinators also requested to search out the attendance records and confidential paperwork of the officers and employees of various BCC devices.
