Bangladesh-US defence dialogue starts tomorrow in Hawaii

The 11th bilateral defence dialogue between Bangladesh and the United States will be held from tomorrow (11 December).

A delegation from Bangladesh, led by Director General of Armed Forces Division (operations and plans) Brig Gen Md Alimul Amin, will participate in the dialogue, according to a ISPR press release.

The dialogue will be held in Hawaii, United States and will conclude on 12 December.

The dialogue is very important for the mutual military cooperation between the two countries.

Different aspects of military cooperation between the two countries including issues related to global and regional security, technology, defence equipment, disaster management, peacekeeping operations, training, joint exercises and drills, workshops and others will be discussed in the dialogue.

The delegation includes senior officials from the Army, Navy and Air Force, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bangladesh Coast Guard, the release added.
