7 jailed for looting at Gazi Tyres factory

Seven other individuals, who had been found smitten by the looting at the Gazi Tyres manufacturing unit in Narayanganj’s Rupganj Upazila, had been each and each sentenced to seven days in penal complex on Sunday.

Govt Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Obaidur Rahman Saleh issued this sentence. Deputy Commissioner Mahmudul Haque advised The Industry Accepted regarding the event.

The convicts are Abdus Sattar, 22, son of Motabor Hossain, Khorshed Alam, 21, son of Fazlul Haque, Ibrahim, 25, son of Tadir Islam, Mahbub Hossain, 35, son of Atabor Rahman, Siraj, 32, son of Aleb Sheikh, Motalib, 48, son of Abdul Kuddus and Sumon, 30, son of Abdur Rashid.

Earlier the same day, police and militia in a joint operation at Gazi Tyres manufacturing unit nabbed the looters crimson-handed.

Deputy Commissioner Mahmudul Haque acknowledged, “The operation became performed to fetch the looters contained in the manufacturing unit. Such drives will continue to forestall looting contained in the manufacturing unit.”
