52,500 tonnes of wheat imported from Ukraine reaches Chattogram

A ship carrying 52,500 tonnes of wheat imported from Ukraine reached Chattogram, the first consignment of food grains imported all by the tenure of the brand new intervening time govt.

The ship ‘MV Cash in on Prosperity’ anchored at Kutubdia, the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port this day (12 December), stated a PID handout.

The work of unloading the wheat will be started quickly after gathering samples and conducting bodily tests of the imported wheat.

Of the wheat, 31,500 tonnes will be unloaded at Chattogram Port, while the glorious 21,000 tonnes will be unloaded at Mongla Port.
