5 Killed in separate road crashes in Cumilla

5 folk had been killed in two separate avenue accidents in Cumilla’s Daudkandi this day (7 December), police mentioned.

Around 7am, within the upazila’s Shaistanagar space, two brick kiln labourers on a tractor had been killed when a bus hit them on the Dhaka-Kachua avenue, mentioned police’s Gauripur Investigation Center Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Helal.

The deceased had been is named Borhan, 28, and Mohammad Ali, 32.

SI Helal mentioned the 2 workers died on the space after a Dhaka-certain Al-Arafa Paribahan bus hit the brick-encumbered tractor, which then overturned.

“The our bodies had been handed over to their families after autopsies. The vehicles fascinated about the accident had been impounded,” he added.

Within the period in-between, three loads of oldsters had been killed in a head-on collision between a Dhaka-certain Anirban Paribahan bus and a CNG-race auto-rickshaw end to Daulatpur bus stand space on the Dhaka-Chattogram freeway within the identical upazila.

“A passenger named Dolly Akhtar, 30, died on the space. Two more folk, Ziana Akhter, 11, and Jahanara Begum, 60, succumbed to their injuries after they had been rushed to Dhaka Medical College Health center,” Eliotganj freeway police Officer-in-Tag (OC) Dewan Kaushik mentioned.

“The auto-rickshaw has been seized. Dolly’s body used to be recovered and brought to the police role,” the OC added.
