410 tonnes of hilsa exported to India via Benapole port

A complete of 410 tonnes of hilsa had been exported to India in seven consignments by Benapole land port.

The export ticket for hilsa is decided at $10 per kg, identical to approximately Tk1,180, Rashedul Sajib Nazir, deputy director of Benapole land port, confirmed.

The exports went by over several days, with 54 tonnes despatched in 20 trucks on Thursday final week, forty five tonnes in 15 trucks on Saturday final week, 19 tonnes in 6 trucks on Sunday, 89 tonness in 30 trucks on Monday, 69 tonnes in 23 trucks on Tuesday, 92 tonnes in 30 trucks on Thursday, and 42 tonnes in 13 trucks currently (5 October), he added.

Nonetheless, he infamous that exporters need to complete all hilsa shipments to India by 12 October, as per the directive from the Ministry of Commerce.

Mahbubur Rahman, an officer of Fisheries Inspection and Quality Regulate Center at Benapole, commented on the moderately low export ticket, announcing that the export tell became as soon as established several years prior to now.
