Bangladesh Railway has announced the launch of four new commuter trains on the Dhaka-Joydebpur route starting from Sunday (15 December), in response to high passenger demand.
Railway authorities shared the information in a press release today (12 December), detailing the schedules of the new train services.
According to the schedule, Joydebpur Commuter-1 will depart from Dhaka at 5:25am and from Joydebpur at 6:25am. The train will stop at Tejgaon, Dhaka Airport, and Tongi stations.
Joydebpur Commuter-2 will depart from Joydebpur at 7:10am and from Dhaka at 8:25am. The train will stop at Tejgaon, Banani, Dhaka Airport, and Tongi stations.
Joydebpur Commuter-3 will depart from Dhaka at 11am and from Joydebpur at 12pm. The train will stop at Tejgaon, Banani, Dhaka Airport, and Tongi stations.
Joydebpur Commuter-4 will depart from Joydebpur at 12:30pm and from Dhaka at 1:40pm. The train will stop at Tejgaon, Banani, Dhaka Airport, and Tongi stations.
Tickets will be issued from the counters of the respective stations. The trains will not operate on Fridays, the release added.
