Manufacturing actions had been halted this day (23 September) in a complete of 39 factories within the Ashulia industrial condominium, in preserving with BGMEA sources.
Of these, 27 factories are closed in preserving with Portion 13(1) of the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (No work, no pay), and in 12 factories, personnel are either on leave or work has been suspended, though the factories live originate.
Factories closed under Portion 13(1) of the Labour Act consist of MAM Garments Dinky, Nassa Neighborhood, Newage Neighborhood, Ananta Neighborhood, Sterling Style Ltd., Sterling Advent, Sterling Apparels, Bando Invent, Envoy Neighborhood, Vintage, Generation Subsequent, and 27 others.
The factories where personnel are on paid leave, work has been halted, or personnel have left consist of Al-Muslim Apparels, Trouser Line Dinky, Sort Forum Dinky, Safa Sweater, The Rose Apparel, Preeti Industrial Park, FNF Sort Sort, and 12 others.
The source added that the total option of operational factories this day in Ashulia is 272, with 267 of them having paid August wages, whereas 5 factories have no longer yet been ready to pay the August wages.
BGMEA also reported that the total option of operational factories this day in Savar, Ashulia, and Zirani is 407, whereas 39 factories live closed.
In Gazipur, 876 factories are originate, whereas 10 live closed.
Additionally, in Narayanganj, 209 factories are operational, 302 within the DMP condominium, and 350 in Chattogram. BGMEA successfully-known that no factories are for the time being closed in these areas.
Meanwhile, Superintendent for Industrial Police-1, Md Sarwar Alam, suggested the media that a complete of 52 factories within the Ashulia condominium have halted manufacturing actions this day.
Out of these, 43 factories are closed under Portion 13(1) of the Labour Act, whereas 9 factories are on fashioned leave.
