3,320 tonnes of rice imported from India thru Benapole in 25 days

A complete of 3,320 tonnes of rice has been imported from India thru Benapole land port in 25 days following the withdrawal of customs responsibility.

“Eight importing corporations including Mahbubul Alam Food Products, Ark Procuring and selling, and Sardar Endeavor, imported the rice,” Abu Taher, earnings officer of the Benapole Checkpost Cargo Branch, told The Business Commonplace on the present time (14 December).

Shyamal Kumar Nath, deputy assistant officer of the Plant Quarantine Heart at Benapole Land Port, mentioned the Indian govt had imposed a ban on the export of each and every parboiled and non-parboiled rice starting 20 July 2023.
