The Department of Atmosphere has undertaken cleanliness and consciousness campaigns across various areas in Barishal division, including Kuakata Seaside.
This initiative adopted the announcement by Atmosphere E-book Syeda Rizwana Hasan to well-organized Saint Martin’s Island, Cox’s Bazar, and Kuakata.
During the campaign, 323 kilogram of plastic waste used to be serene from a 6-kilometer stretch of Kuakata Seaside. The waste incorporated food wrappers, polythene, single-exercise plastics, bottles, cigarette packets, fishing nets, cosmetic items, and e-waste.
Furthermore, consciousness programmes had been performed with the participation of students and the popular public at institutions such as Barishal Zilla College, Barishal Sadar Ladies’ College, Chand Pasha Excessive College in Babuganj, Karapur Dakhil Ladies folks’s Madrasa, Patuakhali Executive Jubilee Excessive College, Barishal College, and various colleges and madrasas shut to Kuakata.
Consciousness campaigns had been moreover organised in markets across Barishal, Barguna, and Patuakhali.
The cleanliness force saw active participation from Ashikur Rahman Shome of the Ministry of Atmosphere, Mohammad Asaduzzaman from the Department of Atmosphere in Patuakhali, students from Dhaka College, and people of CEGIS.
Director Standard of the Department of Atmosphere Dr Abdul Hamid said, “Seashores are being polluted as a consequence of the negligence of tourists. The largest measures would perhaps be taken on this regard.” He told every person to remain faraway from littering with plastics and to cooperate in defending seashores and tourist spots well-organized.
