A total of 32 master chief petty officers (MCPO) from the Bangladesh Navy were granted honorary commissions on the occasion of Victory Day and National Day, promoting them to the rank of honorary sub lieutenant yesterday, says an ISPR press release.
The navy personnel, who got promoted, are Md Abdul Gafur (Ex) (QRP-1), Muhammad Azharul Islam (SDW), Md Badiruzzaman (Ex) (QRP-1), Mohammad Abdul Kader (Com), Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique (L), Md Oliul Haque Talukder (Ex) (GI), Mohammad Shalim Ullah Khan (SDW), Md Babul Hossain Howlader (Com), Mohammad Rahij Uddin (Ex) (PT-1), Mohammad Akhtar Faruk (L), Md Mostafizur Rahman (R), Mohammad Zafir Uddin (I), Md Badarul Haque (Ex) (GI), Md Tarek Ahmed (BSP) (CD-1), Mohammad Saifur Rahman (Med) (Lab), Muhammad Saiful Islam (NUP) (SR-1), Selim Biswas (Ex) (QRP-1), Niplu Barman (Med) (ICA), Mohammad Taj Uddin (I), Kazi Shawkat Hossain (Ex) (FC-1), Mohammad Zakir Hossain (R), BM Enamul Haque (Ex) (FC-1), Md Mahbubul Haque (SDW), Md Abdus Sabur Sorkar (Com), Mohammad Saidul Islam (Ex) (TagI), Mohammad Tafsir Ahmed (Cat), Md Rezaul Islam (L), Mohammad Anwar Hossain (NUP) (Cat), Mohammad Nur Alam Mia (S), Mohammad Arifuzzaman (S), FM Faizur Rahman (Ex) (QA-1), and Mohammad Abdul Halim (Cat).
The honorary promotions will be effective from 16 December, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Defence.
