2 Rajshahi AL leaders sent to jail

A Rajshahi court on the present time (21 September) despatched district Awami League member Rahenul Haque Raihan and upazila Awami League president Abdus Salam to jail over explosion, sabotage and assaults all by the July-August violence in the district.

Rahenul, also ragged MP of Rajshahi-6 constituency, used to be arrested from Charghat Bazar around 11am on the present time (21 September) and later, the court despatched him to jail, Charghat Police Location Officer-in-Impress (OC) Afzal Hossain urged The Industry Popular.

“A case used to be filed against him on 1 September with the police order in reference to explosion and sabotage incidents on 6 August in Rajshahi.

“Correct by the investigation, proof of Rahenul’s involvement used to be found in the case,” the OC added.

Additionally, Abdus Salam, also ragged chairman of Mohanpur Upazila Parishad, used to be arrested from Rajshahi on Friday night, Mohanpur Police Location OC Abdul Hannan confirmed the matter.

“Abdus is named in four cases, collectively with one difficult an attack on Mohanpur Police Location and varied offences. He had been in hiding since 5 August,” the OC stated.

He added that the court despatched him to jail on the present time.
